Dr. Moses Kwaku Golly (PhD, MSc, BSc) is a Senior Lecturer, Hospitality and Tourism Department at the Sunyani Technical University and an Executive Member (Secretary), Institute of Hospitality, Ghana.
Dr. Golly is a dynamic academic and expert in food science (culinary science) in the field of hospitality, and his leadership and vision are having a significant impact on Ghana’s hospitality arena. He is an executive member of Ghana’s Institute of Hospitality, where he plays a vital role in driving strategic initiatives that foster academic-industry collaboration, promote professional development, and advocate for quality and innovation throughout the hospitality value chain.
He has been known in the Association for his leadership in academic outreach, facilitation of food safety training, mentoring of young professionals, and engagement in national conversations on hospitality education standards. He is anticipated to offer members a results-oriented strategy that combines scientific rigour, industry relevance, and a strong commitment to capacity building. Dr. Golly brings excellent professionalism, passion, and insight to every project, whether it involves creating innovative educational programs or hosting seminars for traditional caterers and hotels.

Dr. Golly holds a Bachelor’s degree in Community Nutrition from the University for Development Studies, a Master’s degree in Food Science and Technology from KNUST, and a Doctorate in Food Science and Engineering from Jiangsu University in China. He is currently a Senior Lecturer in the Department of Hospitality and Tourism at Sunyani Technical University, where he does research and lectures on sustainable nutrition, protein chemistry, and food safety.
Dr. Golly is a well-known figure in the scientific community, having authored over 30 peer-reviewed papers and book chapters. He has established himself as a thought leader in both academia and public health through his research into a variety of areas, including heavy metal contamination in local foods and food preservation techniques.
In addition, he is an experienced peer reviewer who serves on technical committees and editorial boards. Dr. Golly’s affiliations include the African Society of Food Science and Technology (ASoFOST), the Ghana Association of Nutritionists and Dietitians (GAND), the International Academy of Professional Counsellors, and the Chartered Institute of Administrators and Management Consultants (CIAMC). In addition to his scholastic and professional commitments, he is a dedicated community servant who helps poor kids by mentoring them, training food vendors, and volunteering. His unshakable integrity and passion, combined with an approachable leadership style, continue to raise the standards of hospitality education and practice in Ghana.
